Voiced is a rehearsal room for high-stakes conversations — starting with salary and offer negotiation. To do that, you tell us things that are sensitive: the number on your offer, the raise you want, sometimes your employer. This policy explains what we collect, how we handle those details, and — just as important — where they deliberately do not go.

1. What we collect

  • Account: email address, password hash (bcrypt cost 12), agreement timestamps.
  • Your offer setup: the five quiz answers — your situation, role and level, the numbers you enter (current offer, target, walk-away floor), your deadline, and the pushbacks you're preparing for. Stored to build your rehearsal.
  • Conversation transcripts you generate while rehearsing, and the read (feedback) produced after each run. Stored so you can reopen your past rehearsals.
  • Payment metadata returned by Stripe for a one-time purchase (status, amount, access window). We never see or store your card number.
  • Operational telemetry: error reports, page views, feature usage — as counts and identifiers, not the content of your conversation. We do not record keystrokes.
  • Marketing attribution: which ad or link brought you to Voiced — campaign tags (UTM) and ad-click identifiers from the URL. Used to measure which channels work, never to profile you.

2. Where your comp numbers and employer do not go

This is the part that matters most for a negotiation, so we're specific about it:

  • Not in analytics. Your offer numbers, target, walk-away floor, employer/company name, and the pushbacks you flagged are stripped out before any analytics event is sent (PostHog, GA4, Yandex.Metrika). Analytics receives only non-sensitive signals — which step you reached, counts, and IDs. Dollar amounts and your employer name are redacted at a single, central checkpoint in the app.
  • Not in error tracking. Conversation content and personal details are not attached to the reports we send to Sentry when something breaks. The error service is configured not to auto-collect IP, cookies, or headers, and we scrub PII before an error leaves the server.
  • Your walk-away floor is never shown to the AI recruiter. The lowest number you'd accept is used only to grade whether your wording gave it away — it is never fed into the counterpart you rehearse against.
  • You can stay anonymous to the model. You can rehearse with a placeholder role and company and never name your real employer at all — the practice still works.

3. How we use it

To run your account, build your rehearsal, generate the recruiter's replies and your read, take a one-time payment, and send transactional email (welcome, receipt). We never sell your data, and we never share your conversations, offer numbers, or quiz answers for advertising. To measure which ads bring people to Voiced, we do share limited marketing signals with our advertising platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok): funnel events such as “started the quiz” or “signed up” (never their content), and — only to match a sign-up back to the ad you clicked — a one-way hashed, irreversible form of your email. You can limit ad personalization in your browser settings or in your Google, Meta, and TikTok ad preferences; for any privacy request, contact privacy@voicedapp.co.

4. Where it lives

Database: PostgreSQL hosted on Railway (US region). Payments: Stripe. Email: Resend. Errors: Sentry. Analytics: PostHog. Ad measurement: Google, Meta, TikTok. All are bound by data-processing agreements. We do not use your transcripts to train AI models.

5. Your rights

You can export all your data or delete your account permanently from Settings. Deletion anonymizes personal information immediately; transcripts are soft-deleted and purged after 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a first-party preference flag (voiced:cookies_accepted) to remember that you consented to storing your quiz answers in your browser, plus first-party storage that remembers which ad or link brought you here. When our advertising campaigns are running, the ad platforms above (Google, Meta, TikTok) also set their own cookies to measure conversions and build remarketing audiences.
